    LOCATION: Ravenna, Italy

Enchanting and evocative, Ravenna has been a capital city three times: of the Roman Empire, the Gothic Kingdom, and the Byzantine Empire. Ravenna’s basilicas and baptisteries are decorated with Mosaics dating back to the 5th and 6th centuries, and they are declared a UNESCO world heritage site. Dante Alighieri, the father of modern Italian, is buried in Ravenna where he lived for the last part of his life. Overall, Ravenna is a rare combination of world class art, only a few minutes from the beaches of the Adriatic Riviera, and it is a trendy holiday leisure area of Europe. It is quiet, tranquil, and the unquestioned “king of the road” is the bicycle. Ravenna is an ideal place for a relaxing “study trip” and holiday. Join us !
