    The Program

    AerialStudy this summer at Corvinus University and the Central European University(CEU). Courses are university level, and are in various subjects that change every summer: Liberal Arts, Sciences, Business, Culture and Society topics. All courses are taught in English by faculty from each university. Students receive a transcript certificate from each university there upon completing the courses.Minimum age is 18 yrs to participate, and open to students and adults worldwide. Cultural activities and local excursions are provided. Low cost housing is available on campus and nearby. Courses at Corvinus are usually held the first 2 weeks of July, and CEU courses are usually mid – late July. Can attend for 3 weeks at both universities, or for just 2 weeks at Corvinus if preferred. Overall, very low cost, high quality academic program !

    The Location

    Both universities are located in Budapest, the capital of Hungary and the heart of the cultural life of the country. Home to 1.9 million people, Budapest is the vibrant center of Hungary, combining the elegance of the 19th century buildings with it’s own blend of Art Nouveau architecture and the appeal of the Bauhaus style. Budapest has a genuinely Central European location, with 7 countries bordering Hungary: Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia,Ukraine, Romania, Serbia and Croatia. Thus, all capital cities are within easy reach by train or bus for a day / weekend trip.
    Often called the “Pearl of the Danube”, Budapest is a wonderful city with a vivid historical and cultural life. Music, dance and theatrical festivals are held every summer.

    Activities

    Heroes Square
    Local cultural activities are organized. Details provided with admission documents.
    Summer Festivals in Budapest attract visitors worldwide, such as the “Summer Music Festival”.
    Some of the local landmarks include: Heroes Square, Fisherman’s Bastion, Buda Castle, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Parliament, as well as “Old Town”.

    Students are also encouraged to “team-up” with other students and explore the city.

    Housing

    Campus housing (residence hall), nearby Guesthouse (Hostels). are available.

    All students book own housing after being confirmed in the program.

    Early registration is advised – campus housing fills up early !

    Expect to spend 150 – 200 Euros ($170 – $230 USD) per week….includes meals and local transportation. Just meals can run 80 – 100 euros per week ($91 – $125 USD est).
    Meals are purchased at campus cafeteria’s, and snack delis.

    CEU University – Residence Center (Hotel):
    17 Euros per night double room ($20 USD est)
    28 Euros for single room ($32 USD est).
