* Spanish for non-native speakers (ESPA 312X)
Course offered at 3 levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced. All students
take a placement test. Course is designed to integrate the students cultural
experiences, and develop all aspects of the Spanish language: speaking,
listening, reading, and writing.

* Puerto Rican Linguistics and Literature (ESGE 4995)
For advanced Spanish students only. This course presents an overview of the
Spanish Language in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, as well as an introduction to
island literature.

* Society and Culture in Puerto Rico (ESGE 4995)
An overview of island culture that explores history, arts, folklore,
ecology, economics, geography, and politics. The course is taught in Spanish,
and designed as a series of topical lectures and workshops given by experts in
each field and integrated with the field trips and cultural activities.
* NOTE: All students will receive an official transcript from the University
upon completing
the courses.
* NOTE: Courses taught by qualified Professors from the University of Puerto
Rico.

HousingOn
campus housing is provided for all students, and included in the program fee.
No other housing available. 2 meals daily (breakfast and lunch) are also
included in the form of vouchers that are used at on-campus facilities. Plan on arriving May 25th and departing June 21st, for first session, and arriving June 24th for 2nd session and departing July 23rd. Bedding
linens are provided by campus housing.
